Product Creation Tips: How To Create An Interview Product
Welcome back, feel free to comment!
When it comes to product creation, many people struggle with the process and it can take up to several weeks or more just to create a simple product for their own online business. Getting the information to create and inject into a quality product can be difficult, as can be finding the time to write or produce it.
A great way of creating a quality product quickly is to interview an expert in your niche and then package it up as a product. The benefits of doing this include views on the product that people are willing to trust as well as building up your status due to the association you have with the expert.
Providing you find the right person to interview, you should be getting access to an instant pool of knowledge which can go into your product.
The first step is to Find Your Interviewee.
This is not as difficult as it sounds because there are many places you can find them like blogs and forums where there are hidden experts just dying to get the exposure they desire. These people will hardly reject a chance to get free exposure and the chance to sell themselves, meaning that many people will jump at the chance to be interviewed! All you need to do is to simply approach these people in your niche and ask them.
Another thing to note is that you don’t necessarily have to get the top experts in the subject for the interview. Many times, up and rising new experts have much to offer as well – in fact, things which can be more relevant and important to your prospects and customers because they have knowledge that could be discounted as information not worth mentioning by the older, more seasoned experts.
The next step is to Decide What Format You Want To Conduct The Interview In.
One of the fastest, cheapest method that you can use is to conduct an interview by email. All you need to do is to send your questions over to the other person by email correspondence and let him or her answer you. After that’s done, you can collect all the email interview responses and compile them into a report or ebook. This is fast, easy and doesn’t require a lot of time to create.
The other option is to do a ‘live’ interview and then record it. This could be done over Skype or telephone for example. This has the advantage in which you can create two products – the audio recording and the transcript of the audio recording.
If you decide to use this option, it’s always best to pre-plan and have an outline guide in front of you so as to know what you’re going to talk about during the interview. You also need to let the other person know what you want to talk about in advance so that they can do a bit of preparation for the interview too.
Getting Questions Or Topics To Discuss.
For the interview, you are going to need the topics and questions to be your content for the interview. To get this, you have to find out what is it that people in your niche want to know. If you don’t know what’s hot, then take a look at forums, blogs, or websites in your niche. Most of the time, people post valuable questions in forums which you can use in your interview.
For example, people in the internet marketing niche might want to know how he/she would build a list, or how to get started with an online business. Asking these hot, burning questions about your chosen niche and having them answered will be valuable to your customers and prospects.
Whatever method you decide to do it, creating an interview product is definitely one of the easiest and fastest ways of creating a high quality product that is chock full of genuine expertise which will benefit you and your online business.
