Creating an information product is one of the most lucrative ways to make money online. The information product can become somethig that defines you and could potentially skyrocket you to internet marketing success and notoriety.

The common mistake made by many people is that they create a product which they think and believe is something that people want – but they never did the proper market research to find out if it’s a product that people would want to buy.

For example, if you love to eat french fries but hate queuing up to buy them? You decide that you’re going to create an ebook that teaches people how to make their own french fries. When you eventually finish the ebook and you try to sell it… nobody buys and you wonder why.

Refund requests are probably the most rampant in the internet marketing industry – which is the selling of information products. I don’t have the statistics to back it up but I got that statement from a very well-known internet marketing guru.
