Welcome back, feel free to comment!

gerry-cooke

Who is Gerry Cooke? A little insight about Gerry (as quoted from his website) – a person dedicated to the success of the disabled home business owner and network marketer. I was born with a physical disability which has given me a certain amount of perspective in itself as to some of the challenges people with disabilities face with their daily life and starting their own business.

Throughout my life I have had the pleasure of holding several interesting positions including assistant to probation officers, co-bank manager, run my own network marketing business, customer service representative and as well for the past 8 years owner and CEO of Three Quest Inc.

As Robert Kiyosaki explained, an “ah ha!” moment sparked off in my head. He was explaining a technical term called derivatives and he taught about how the financial sectors used it to make tons and tons of money.

In classic Dad style, he broke down the hard words into simple easier-to-understand concepts and I think it’s critical to understand the concept of it to really apply it in your home business. How can a term like that work? Okay, this is how Robert said it: “Think of derivatives as orange juice from an orange – orange juice is a derivative of an orange”.

Now, how does that apply to any home based business?

Robert Kiyosaki’s New Book… FREE?! It’s a Conspiracy of the Rich!

Wow wow wow! The first day at the Singapore stop of Robert “Rich Dad” Kiyosaki’s seminar was jam-packed with great information.

Not all of it was about how to market one’s own business but they were all about one central theme – money. Here’s what went on for the first day:

  1. Robert introduced his whole team who spoke on various topics
  2. He predicted that the American economy is going to go down, down and down some more (he didn’t quite say that – he made it much more descriptive and grave).
  3. That how the new administration is a bubble effect and the continuous printing of money is going to pull down many countries who rely not on gold but the US$ dollar.
  4. He spoke out against how schools have been traditionally teaching about education but never giving financial education which is the real key to success and financial freedom.
  5. … and tons more!

Before I can share with you exactly what I have learnt (I took quite a lot of notes), I want you to visit a site and read everything about it.

I just received a call from Janet, a friend who is also trying to get her home based business off the ground into profitable levels…

Here’s the weird thing – I haven’t heard from her for about, let’s see… 3 months? So out of the blue, she calls me and she asks me what I’m doing right now & I said I’m working on my business.

She then says “Have you heard of (new business opportunity)?” and I said “No”. I half-expected her to try to pitch me into her business when she said this:

Sara Tucholsky’s Softball Story

This is a softball game that went wrong… that also went right. Sara Tucholsky from Western Oregon, hit her first ever home run which cleared the center-field fence. In her moment of exhilaration, she missed the first base and turned around but injured her knee in the process.

She was about to lose her first ever home run until Liz Wallace (on the left in the video) and Mallory Holtman, from Central Washington, carried her around the diamond base… only stopping to have her touch her feet on the bases.

She got her home run. Very inspiring. True sportsmanship was shown.
