Want some tips to generate traffic that isn’t too time consuming? Don’t have time to create all the nice reports to give away? Well, here are some traffic generation tips that you can apply immediately to get some natural traffic to your site.

1. Email Signatures

This is one of the most underused methods to get traffic – everytime you send an email, having a link at the bottom of your email will let them know that you have a site that people can check out. This not only gives you better exposure, it also arouses curiousity for first time visitors.

2. Forum Signatures

While some people are using this, it’s funny how a lot of people are still not using this to it’s maximum effect. Instead of just putting your website address, describe what the user will get if he visits your site! Invite people from the forum to click on your link to get a free report – or something of value. But remember, don’t spam.

3. Business Cards

Are you promoting your business offline as well? When you give out your name cards, does it have a link on it? Or does it just have a telephone number? When you provide a web site address, it allows the person to find out more about you by checking out your web site. It also helps brand your expertise.

4. Useful Giveaways

Do you have something on your hard drive that you have the rights to? Have you tried giving it away instead of selling it? This not only generates lots of good will for you – it also brings lots of traffic to your site.

If you’re lazy and don’t want to customize the report, put up a zip folder and throw in a text file – that’ll work just as fine. Make sure that it’s relevant to what your site is about though!
