Avoiding Poverty May Not Lead You To Achieving Prosperity

Avoid Poverty To Achieve Prosperity?
Many people start their own business or venture into different job prospects because they want to avoid being poor. Most people go through life only wanting to avoid something… not really having a particular goal to achieve. While poverty is something which most people avoid, prosperity is rarely something which they want to achieve.
Odd, but true. Consider this… how many people in this world are truly rich compared to people who are poor or just have enough? A lot of people aim to just have enough so that they won’t have to struggle for money anymore – but when that money runs out, they aim to get more again. A never ending and vicious cycle.
How often do you hear people who try to avoid being poor and they ended up rich instead? Yes, there are people who ended up rich. But the majority of people who prospered and became rich got there because they made a conscious effort to be rich.
Having a sense of direction to where you want to go in life is key to getting you there. If you’ve never aimed for it, you won’t hit it. Imagine a class of students who just got back their results, how often do you have people who score well and how often do you have people who just passed? If you asked the students who passed, how many of them aimed for high marks?
Chances are that all they wanted was not to fail – so they get border line grades. Even so, just a few lesser marks and they would have failed.
It’s different with those who scored high marks, however. They took the time to study and effort to understand the subject; they aimed for good grades.
Likewise, in life. Even though you may not hit the highest scores in life, taking the time to study and the effort to understand how life works can turn out to good results. Don’t aim to avoid poverty, aim to achieve prosperity!
