Success Dreams and Illusions
Welcome back, feel free to comment!
Success takes a different form for every person. To some people, it’s about making money, others, it’s about having the perfect family relationship. Success is defined uniquely for each and every person based on their upbringing, their beliefs, their influences, et cetera.
And success takes time to realise. But success can come in two forms… dreams and illusions. Dreams are goals of success yet to be realised; Illusions are goals of success that can’t be realised.
The common factor is goals. When you are able to clearly define your goals and/or break them down into manageable steps and procedures, it’s a dream. When you aren’t able to clearly define your goal and when you try to break them down into smaller parts, it shows that it’s not realistic, then it’s highly likely it’s an illusion.
Dreams can be realised if you work on it on a consistent basis, everyday, committing some time to doing a little bit to push you closer to your dream. There are countless stories of people who have succeeded in securing financial freedom for themselves by working just a little bit every single day. They reach financial stability or freedom within a year or two.
The only exception to that is when you have the goal as a long term goal… I’m talking about more than 10 years. This applies especially to children when they are able to dream about their goals. They really have dreams because to children, they see it as something that is possible and are willing to work towards it.
The problem starts when we mature as adults, we start questioning and doubting the process as to whether we can achieve it or if people will accept us as who we are.
For children, all dreams are possible. For adults, dreams have to be realistic.
